5 Habits That Instantly Improve Your Traffic-Dodging Skills
If you keep crashing early in traffic games, one of these five habits is probably the cause.
1. Looking too close to your own car
Focusing on the car right in front of you gives almost no reaction time. Look further ahead for a wider warning window.
2. Overusing lane changes
Constant weaving increases exposure to traffic from more directions than staying in one lane a bit longer would.
3. Matching traffic speed too closely
Traveling at nearly the same speed as surrounding traffic removes your ability to create gaps - a bit of speed difference actually makes dodging easier.
4. Panicking on sudden lane changes
A vehicle cutting in front of you doesn't always need a hard swerve; sometimes easing off the throttle is the safer, smaller correction.
5. Ignoring the shoulder or edge lanes
In many titles, the outermost lane has less traffic - using it briefly to reset your position can be safer than fighting through the middle.
Fix these and most traffic games become noticeably less punishing within just a few runs.
